The Death Triangle

The Triangle going from Athinas & Evripidou Streets, to Peiraios Avenue and Plateia Koumoudourou is the most breathtaking place in Athens, so breathtaking that many young kids die every month.
If you landed in this area you would never believe that you are in Athens nor any place in Europe.
It looks more like a third world country or a huge JUNKY TOWN.

Long time ago they were rumors that this neighbourhood was going to be the Soho of Athens.
Nowadays it looks more like the favelas of Athens, ruled by drugdealers, pimps and most of all the ones that permits it.

The situation is out of control, people working and/or living there, like myself, start to loose every hope.

In this blog I will share with you photos and videos so you can have an idea of the situation and maybe together try to make our city more healthy and beautiful.

Closedowns

One year has passed and things got worse. The drug dealers and junkies moved from menandrou, sofokleous next where the OKANA used to be(Greek organization against Drugs.... or pro-drugs ?) and now can be found by hundreds behind the new and beautiful National Theater.
Junky - town became Babylon town, masses of immigrants selling from drugs to shampoo and rotten tomatoes are now ruling the streets.
The neighborhood has no longer any Greek residents and businesses are closing down.
After Guru Bar, now it's turn for the legendary Soul Bar, and many other shops, galleries (Xippas Gallery), restaurants are leaving this once authentic Athenian neighborhood.
